Swatchh Technology Challenge Competition to be held in Pune

Pune : Policenama online – Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) have jointly organized a competition ‘Swatchh Technology Challenge’ to inculcate a start-up culture for clean environment solutions.

 

PMC Deputy Commissioner Ajit Deshmukh, while making the announcement, informed that the challenge is based on four main concepts: social inclusion, zero dump, plastic waste management, and transparency.

 

The competition is being held as a part of ‘Swachh Survey 2022’ under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Prizes in the range of Rs 10,000-Rs 5 lakh will be given to the winners of this competition. Additionally, the winners will have an opportunity to participate in state and national level competition.

 

Vice-Chancellor of SPPU Dr Nitin Karmalkar said that such competitions will definitely help in finding socially useful answers; while Director Innovation of Innovation & Associations Department SPPU Dr Apoorva Palkar hoped that new startups will emerge from this merger.

 

The Competition is open to all including the citizens, educational institutions, startups, social institutions, and civic cooperatives. The ideas are to be presented in five, six slides, and five videos.

 

The last date of application is December 24, 2021.
