Three booked over woman’s suicide due to harassment over her husband’s extra-marital affairs
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | A married woman committed suicide by hanging herself due to mental and physical torture by her husband who was having an extramarital affair. The Hadapsar Police have filed an FIR against three persons, including the woman’s husband. (Pune Crime News)
The accused have been identified as Anand Badhe, Ranjana Badhe, Kalyan Badhe, all from Fursungi. The married woman who committed suicide has been identified as Harshada Anand Badhe.
Harshada’s sister Varsha Rahul Shivarkar (22) from Wagholi has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar Police Station. The incident happened between May 2022 and February 10, 2023.
According to the police, the sister of the complainant, Harshada, was married to Anand Badhe. As the dowry was not offered in marriage, the accused conspired and abused and beat her. Anand Badhe had extramarital affairs. When Harshada asked about it, she was physically and mentally tortured. Tired over this harassment, Harshada committed suicide by hanging herself on February 10.
