Two from Nagpur booked for Rs 2-cr cheating on the pretext of getting youths jobs in hotels in Australia

Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | A duo cheated youths of Rs 2.38 cr by giving a fake offer letter for a job by getting their visa through a company in Australia. (Pune Crime News)
A 42-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Bund Garden Police Station. Accordingly, the police registered an FIR against Shivam alias Sam Joshi from Australia and Dipika Kamdar from Nagpur. The incident took place between January 2019 and August 2022 at New Ediu Vision Consultancy at Tadiwala Road.
According to the police, the company New Ediu Vision Consultancy is located in Heritage Apartment on Tadiwala Road. The accused gained trust by promising to give visas and jobs by the Australia Skill Visa Pvt Ltd to the interested applicants from the complainant’s company.
The complainant was given a fake offer letter from a reputed hotel in Australia. After seeing the offer letter, the complainant and other applicants from his company sent Rs 2.38 cr for visa and other work. After realising that they have been cheated, they lodged a complaint with the police.
