Nagpur : Policenama online – Devendra Fadnavis | Instructions have been given to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to resolve the issue of resident doctors of KEM and Nair hospitals in Mumbai immediately. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said today in the Legislative Assembly that two hostels are ready and the transfer process will start in the next two months.
Regarding the buildings of resident doctors in KEM and Nair hospitals in Mumbai, Adv. Parag Alavani along with other members had raised the issue through a starred question in the Legislative Assembly.
Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the transit camp building at Bombay Dyeing Mill Wadala was taken over by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in April 2020 for temporary accommodation due to the increasing outbreak of COVID-19. It was taken for isolation rooms. Currently, this building is not being used for isolation. It is being used for resident doctors in various hospitals of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Two hostels are ready for the accommodation of resident doctors of both KEM and Nair hospitals and they will soon shift there, said Fadnavis.
