Union Law Minister releases Book on 9-yrs of Modi Govt's rule at the Centre

Hyderabad, May 29 (UNI) Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal here on Monday released a book and a special song commemorating the completion of nine years of the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During a media interaction, Meghwal highlighted the significant achievements of the Modi government, emphasizing its commitment to transparency, corruption-free governance, and the welfare of the people.

He mentioned that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the government has focused on maintaining peace, security, and providing essential services to the citizens.

Meghwal stated that the government successfully provided the COVID-19 vaccine to the people of India and nearly 50 other countries, contributing to the global fight against the pandemic.

He also mentioned that the government constructed 3.5 crore houses under the PM Awas Yojana, a housing scheme that provides assistance in three installments to beneficiaries. The use of technology and geo-tagging streamlined the process and reduced hassles for beneficiaries.

Meghwal further highlighted the government’s sanitation programs and the remarkable progress made in ensuring cleanliness, including cleaning railway tracks and constructing toilets for 11.72 crore people across the country.

Regarding other initiatives, he stated that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the government provides clean drinking water through taps to 12 crore households, significantly improving accessibility to safe water. Additionally, under the Ujjwala Yojana, the government provided free gas connections to 9.6 crore people, benefiting households in need.

The Union Minister emphasized that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the government ensured free monthly ration for 80 crore people through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

He also mentioned the implementation of Ayushman Bharat, the world’s largest healthcare scheme, which provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to beneficiaries holding Ayushman Bharat cards.

Meghwal further highlighted the establishment of Jana Aushadhi Kendras, which offer more than 9,300 types of medicines at affordable prices, benefiting the public.

He mentioned the government’s initiatives such as the Kisan Samman Yojana, providing direct financial assistance to farmers, and social justice measures like reservation for the poor in the upper castes and the constitutional status given to the National BC Commission.

Meghwal stated that the government has focused on infrastructure development, including the construction of airports, expansion of roadways, introduction of world-class railways, and the establishment of AIIMS, IITs, and universities.

He also mentioned the government’s active role in international forums, such as the G-20, and its recognition for efforts in combating COVID-19 and promoting Indian culture and Sanatana Dharma.

Highlighting the government’s contributions to national security, Meghwal mentioned the export of defense equipment and the safe evacuation of citizens from crisis-hit countries.

He concluded by stating that the mentioned achievements demonstrate the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, welfare, and progress across various sectors of the economy and society.
