Visiting Czech FM to hold talks with EAM

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) – Czech Republic Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský will be on a four-day official visit to India from Sunday, during which he will hold talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on the bilateral ties as well as on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Lipavský will be accompanied by Members of the Parliament, Deputy Minister for Science, Research and Innovation and a high-level official and business delegation, a statement said.
Foreign Minister Lipavský will hold bilateral talks with EAM Jaishankar where the two leaders are expected to discuss the entire range of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Foreign Minister Lipavský will also be attending the inaugural session of the India-EU Business and Sustainability Conclave organized by CII on February 28. He will then travel to Mumbai on the same day and will depart on March 1 from Mumbai.
The visit of Foreign Minister Lipavský follows the visit of EAM Jaishankar to Czech Republic in June 2022 where they had held delegation level talks. The two ministers had also recently met in Vienna during the visit of the External Affairs Minister to Austria in January 2023.
India and Czech Republic have historically enjoyed warm and friendly relations which have been strengthened in the last several years through high level exchanges and enhanced cooperation across sectors, the statement added.
Foreign Minister Lipavský’s visit is expected to provide further momentum to India’s bilateral relations with the Czech Republic.
