We will reflect on the defeat, says Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election | The MVA has managed to snatch BJP’s bastion i.e. Kasba Peth constituency and there has been a change in power equation after 28 years. Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar defeated BJP’s Hemant Rasane by 11,040 votes. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has given his reaction to BJP candidate’s defeat by saying that the party will reflect on the issue. (Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election)
Fadnavis, while speaking in Vidhan Bhavan, said, “We will reflect on this defeat. However, you will also have to reflect. Elections took place in three states but the Congress Party has disappeared. Hence, Nana Patole would have to reflect on this and we would also reflect on the defeat.”
Congress state unit chief Nana Patole speaking about the victory of Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar in the Kasba Peth bypoll said, “BJP’s decline has started.”
After BJP announced the candidature of Hemant Rasane for Kasba Peth bypoll, the Congress had announced the candidature of Ravindra Dhangekar. Hemant Rasane has suffered a shock defeat in the bypoll.
