Will organise PCs to highlight the truth about Kharghar incident : Londhe

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Chief Spokesperson Atul Londhe said that the Congress party senior leaders will hold press conferences in all the districts of the state on April 24 to bring out the truth about the Kharghar incident before the public.
In his statement Londhe stated that, those 14 people who died at the Maharashtra Bhushan award ceremony were victims of the “shameless” government of Shinde-Fadnavis. The government is still silent on this issue.
“A one-member committee appointed by the government under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department to probe the Kharghar incident is a sham. If the government is investigating the government, how can it be fair,” he asked.
“Therefore, we demand that the government conduct a judicial inquiry into the Kharghar incident” he said.
Londhe further said that the official figures are that 14 people died in the incident in Kharghar but this number is higher but the government is not disclosing the actual number of dead.

Although the Shinde government is silent on the incident of 14 victims in Kharghar, we will not let the government sit back. The BJP-led Shinde government will have to tell the truth in the Kharghar case, he said.
In the Kharghar case, a press conference will be held in all the districts of the state by prominent leaders behalf of the Pradesh Congress on April 24, he added.
