Woman among five drug peddlers arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 29 (UNI) A woman among five drug peddlers were arrested in Kashmir valley, police said on Monday.
Awantipora Police arrested one lady drug peddler, a resident of Lelhar Kakapora, from Pampore area along with 1Kg and 800 Grams of charas powder.
The arrest and seizure of drugs was held in presence of Executive Magistrate pampore, CDPO pampore and Legal metrology Department Pulwama, police said.
A case under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
Four wanted drug Smugglers including two non-local residents identified as Shabir Ahmad Rather of Khaitangan, Shoaib Aijaz Goru of Kanispora, Mohammad Humayan Sheikh and Mohammad Ziaul Mostafaof West Bengal were arrested in Baramulla district.
Police said 410 grams of contraband Charas and 36 grams of Brown Sugar like substances at Khaitangan, Kanispora and Fatehpora during checking. A Vehicle used by the accused was also seized.
The accused were booked under NDPS Act and investigations set in motion, police added.
