WPI inflation down to 4.95 pc in Dec

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) – WPI inflation | The Wholesale Price Index (WPI)-based inflation fell to 4.95 per cent in December 2022, data from Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed on Monday.

 

The WPI-based inflation registered in November 2022 was 5.85 per cent.

 

“Fall in inflation in December 2022 is primarily due to fall in prices of food articles, mineral oils, crude petroleum and natural gas, food products, textiles and chemicals and chemical products,” a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said.
