Youth gets electric shock; dies after a fall from second floor at Uruli Devachi

Pune : Policenama online  – A 21-year-old man, Shubham Sanchit Parab died after falling from the second floor due to electric shock caused by high voltage wires passing near the building.

A case of negligence has been registered against the building owner Sambhaji Dadasaheb Bhadale (42), resident of Uruli Devachi, Tal Haveli after the eyewitnesses testified that Parab died on spot in the incident.

According to Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Mokashi, the incident took place on November 14. The Pune Control room informed the Uruli Devachi Police that a man had fallen from a building at Old Palkhi Road.

The Police Sub-Inspector of Police Pramod Hambir, Constables Sagar Vanve, and Joshi rushed to the spot and admitted Parab to Sassoon Hospital for treatment but he was declared dead on arrival. The doctors noted the cause of death as a head injury. Accordingly, Loni Kalbhor Police Station recorded a case of accidental death.

However,, according to eyewitnesses, Parab was standing in the gallery on the second floor of the building where a high-voltage current was passing by. But, the building owner did not take any precautionary measures that caused an electric shock to Parab resulting in his fall and died on the spot, they informed. Consequently, the police registered a case against the owner of the building.
