Pune: Policenama online – Pune Crime News | The police stopped a two-wheeler rider for riding without a helmet and took him to the police station. The rider called his female friend. He argued with the police employee and slapped him. The incident took place at Bibvewadi police station on May 28 at 11.45 pm. (Pune Crime News)
The Bibvewadi police have arrested Gaurav Harish Walavkar (28) and Sucheta Chetan Ghule (29), both residents of Chintamani Residency, Bibvewadi.
ASI Ramdas Bandal (57) has lodged a complaint (102/23) at the Bibvewadi police station.
According to the police, a naka bandi was in place near Vimal Vihar Society adjacent to Bibvewadi police station. The complainant, API barde and others were doing naka bandi. Gaurav Walavkar was riding a two-wheeler without wearing a helmet. The police stopped him and asked him to show RC Book and licence. The accused did not show any document and started arguing with the police. He asked Sucheta Ghule to come to the spot.
After going to the police station, the accused slapped the complainant and dared him to take action against him and obstructed government work. PSI Adling is probing the case.
