CCTV Video: Chaos Erupts at Kasarwadi Restaurant as Self-Declared Don Threatens Violence

Pune: In a disturbing incident at Varun Restaurant and Bar in Kasarwadi, Pune, tensions flared as a group of individuals allegedly wreaked havoc, leading to arrests and a police investigation.

According to reports, hotelier Amrut Annayya Shetty found himself at the centre of a violent confrontation on Sunday evening. The trouble began when a group of individuals, one of whom claimed to be the “don of Kasarwadi,” allegedly refused to pay for beer bottles they had taken from the hotel.

Amidst escalating tensions, the situation took a violent turn. The accused reportedly berated and physically assaulted the hotelier, Amrut Shetty, while also vandalising his car. The assailants allegedly made threats of arson and further violence, leaving Shetty fearful for his safety and the security of his establishment.

After the incident, the plaintiff immediately filed a police complaint, prompting the Bhosari police to intervene. A case was registered against five individuals, with one arrest made thus far. Rishikesh, alias Mungalya Vishwanath Mote, a 20-year-old resident of Kasarwadi, was apprehended in connection with the incident.

The charges against the accused include serious offences under the Indian Penal Code and other relevant statutes. Among them are accusations of assault, vandalism, and threats of violence. After the police complaint, Bhosari Police are conducting further investigation into the case.
