Corona Cases Raise Concern, Search for New Beds, New Cremation Grounds On in Delhi

New Delhi : The number of corona patients in Delhi is continuously increasing. Now the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has written a letter to all the District Magistrates. DDMA has written in the letter that in view of the increasing cases of corona in Delhi, it is imperative to plan for the advancement of identification of new beds etc. for increasing bed capacity and cremation for patients.

DDMA has requested to provide information on the top priority. It said in the letter, ‘Please inform about any air condition location for Corona patients with the ability to apply extra beds. Multipurpose Hall / Banquet Hall and Indoor Stadium etc. would be better.

In a letter to the DM, it  was said, ‘Tell us what is the location for the cremation and tell which land you have identified at which location. The location for cremation should be at a reasonable distance from the residential areas. DDMA has sought all this information with top most priority till 3:00 pm on June 3.

The number of corona infected in the capital has increased to 20834. In the last 24 hours, 990 new cases have been reported, while 50 people have died. Here, the death toll from Corona has now increased to 523. According to the data released by the Delhi government, 268 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. In this way the number of patients discharged or migrating has reached 8746. At present, 11565 active patients are in Delhi.
