‘Corona Kits were Available for 500 Rs., But Modi Gave Contract to a Gujarati’ – Says Congress Leader

New Delhi : Coronavirus has caused panic all over the world. Thousands are dying every day in the country and abroad. The death toll in America has reached close to 60 thousand. So far 939 people have died in India from Corona. 29458 people have been found to be corona positive. In which 7,137 people have been cured. Meanwhile, now the Modi government and ICMR are being questioned about the Corona Kit.

In fact, Congress leader and former BJP MP Uditraj has questioned the kit prices, sharing a post on social media about the Corona Testing Kit. The ICMR has responded to Udit Raj’s question and has denied any such information as incorrect. Congress leader Udit Raj has shared a social media post accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of giving the contract to build a test kit to a Gujarat-based company.

Udit Raj wrote that such a post is going on social media, do not know what is the truth? ICMR has responded to this. In response to this rumor, ICMR also stated the price of the kit used for the initial screening of Coronavirus. With this, ICMR said that the news shared by Udit Raj is incorrect.

ICMR responded –
ICMR tweeted, ‘This is fake news. According to the price that ICMR has fixed, the price of RT-PCR test is between 740-1150 and the cost of rapid test is 528-795. No test is being done for 4500 rupees. ICMR even said that if a company wants to supply at a lower price then it can contact us….’
