Pune : Policenama Online – The Pune city police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse youths who had gathered in large number on FC Road to celebrate India’s win against Pakistan during ICC Cricket World Cup match on Sunday.

According to police, the youths were waving the tricolour flag from bikes and jeeps. The road was blocked. Many youths were playing loud music and dancing on vehicles near the petrol pump. Many had climbed on the roof of buses.
Around midnight, the quick response team (QRT) commandos armed with sticks reached Goodluck chowk and thrashed the youths. People ran helter-skelter and soon the road was again open for traffic.
