Good news! Decline in Covid19 cases in 18 states

New Delhi: Second wave of Covid-19 infection continues in the country. Meanwhile, there is some good news. New cases are decreasing in 18 states and union territories of the country. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases during the 24 hours in the country has come down by 30,016, after which the number of patients has decreased to 37,15,221.

The Union Health Ministry said that for the first time in 61 days, it has happened that the number of people who have been recovered from infection is more than the number of newly infected people. So far, 16.16 percent of those found infected in the country are currently undergoing treatment. According to the information, 81.68 percent of the total active cases are in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh. The Ministry stated that 24.44 percent of the patients undergoing treatment in the country are in Bangalore City, Pune, Delhi, Ernakulam, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Thrissur, Jaipur, Kozhikode and Mumbai.

Karnataka has the highest number of 39,305 new cases reported in a single day. Apart from this, 37,236 cases were reported in Maharashtra and 28,978 cases in Tamil Nadu. The ministry said that the death toll at the national level is 1.09 percent. A total of 3876 patients died during the 24 hours. 73.09 percent of these patients died in ten states. Karnataka has the highest number of deaths at 596, while in Maharashtra, 549 patients have died.
