India is all set to establish Defence Cyber Agency

New Delhi :  India is all set to have Defence Cyber Agency (DCA) by next month, headquarter in Delhi. Senior Navy officer Admiral Mohit Gupta will be the first head of the DCA. India raises a long concern in security threat from its neighbours mostly China and Pakistan, where the DCA will play a major role  tackling threat from hackers. New building has been hired in the capital for setting up DCA offices, confirmed senior Defence Ministry official.

DCA is one of the three bodies along with Special Forces and Space to be setup as per clearance given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during combined commander’s conference in Jodhpur last year. DCA will include a lot of existing capability with the armed forces for tackling cyber domain. Almost on daily basis, efforts are made by hackers to steal information and create disruption.

One of the top, eastern army commanders Lt. Gen MM Naravane recently stated that unit of cyber agency will be spread across country. Also tri-service Integrated Defence Staff is also holding an exercise with National Technical Research Organization (NTRO), (RAW), National Security Council and DRDO where cyber-attacks would be launched on critical military infrastructure.
