Mother saved her four-year-old daughter from kidnappers, video goes viral

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, kidnappers who tried to kidnap girl in Delhi’s Shakarpur area, a mother played a daring act and she saved her four-year-old daughter from two men who were trying to kidnap her. Later, the police found that one of the kidnappers was her uncle.

The video shows a man picking up the girl from inside her house while another man waited on his motorcycle for a quick escape. But the mother showed courage and presence of mind as she attacked the men and threw the motorcycle off balance. She grabbed her daughter back with one hand and held on to the motorcycle with the other, barring kidnappers from escaping.

Why kidnapping?

In an investigation and multiple raids, the Delhi Police managed to nab both accused, one of whom turned out to be the kid’s paternal uncle. The police investigation has revealed that the kidnapping was planned by the girl’s uncle, who was in dire need of cash. He roped in his friend with a promise of Rs 1 lakh for his help in executing the crime.

The Shakarpur Police, which received the complaint regarding the attempted kidnapping on Tuesday, cracked the case by tracing the owner of the motorcycle kidnappers had left behind. Even though the motorcycle had a fake number plate, the police identified the owner by chassis number and engine number. The bike owner, Dheeraj, was nabbed by the police in Jagatpuri. Dheeraj told the police that the plan to kidnap the kid was hatched by her uncle Upender Bittoo. Dheeraj said Upender Bittoo roped him in the conspiracy with a promise of Rs 1 lakh.

The police arrested Upender Bittoo after raids at several locations.
