Odisha : The Odisha government has decided to extend the lockdown till 30 April, in view of the growing threat of Coronavirus. It is worth noting that Odisha is the first state in the country which has decided to extend the lockdown. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the lockdown will be extended in Odisha by April 30, with the schools to remain closed till June 17.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to informing the Central Government in this regard, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has asked the Center not to restore the railways and air services in the state till April 30. Earlier in the all-party meeting held with PM Modi on Wednesday, most states had appealed to increase the lockdown in view of the current situation.

According to the latest information received from the Odisha Health Department, a 51-year-old woman in Dhenkanal, Odisha and a 69-year-old man from Bhubaneswar have been found to be corona positive. Whereas one patient has died due to coronavirus.
