Prohibition of movement in J&K from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m

Srinagar, Policenama Online –  The Jammu and Kashmir government has issued guidelines prohibiting movement in all areas across the union territory between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.While there will be prohibition on all types of movements without the passes, medical emergencies have been exempted The J&K government spokesperson Rohit Kansal tweeted: “Prohibitions (Curfew) on movement in all areas between 7 pm and 7 am. No movement without passes. Medical emergencies exempted.”The J&K government issued guidelines in the Union Territory for the non permissible actvitites during the extended lockdown starting May 4.

“All domestic and international air travel of passengers, except for medical services, air ambulances, security purposes or for purpose as permitted by Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), to remain closed.”All passenger movement by trains, except for security purposes or purposes as permitted by MHA, to remain shut.”The interstate, inter district and intra district buses for public transport and private vehicles, except for purposes permitted under this order in specific categories of districts, closed.All schools colleges, universities, educational training/ coaching institutions, etc. to remain shut. However, online/distance learning shall be permitted.Hospitality services other than those used for housing health/political/ Government officials/ healthcare workers, stranded persons and those for quarantine facilities, not to run.

All cinema halls shopping malls, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks theatres, bars liquor shops, restaurants, spas, parlours, barber shops and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places, except where permitted under this order in specific categories of districts, remain closed.All social/political/sports/entertainment/academic/cultural/religious functions/other gatherings not permitted.All religious places/places of worship shall be closed for public. Religious congregations are strictly prohibited.The movement of individuals for all non essential activities between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The District Magistrates shall issue specific prohibitory orders in this regard under Section 144 of CrPC.Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years shall stay at home, except for meeting essential requirements or for health purposes.
