Pune: Committed to make PMPML journey comfortable: Murlidhar Mohol

Pune: Maha-Yuti-BJP Lok Sabha candidate Murlidhar Mohol has assured that he is committed to make the PMPML services speedy, safe and affordable so that passengers feel comfortable and happy.

He was speaking at the conclusion of a poll rally that passed through Wanawadi, Clover Village, Ganga Satellite, Netaji Nagar, Housing Board and Salunkhe Vihar. MLA Sunil Kamble, Babu Vagaskar, Kalindatai Punde, Dhanraj Ghogre, Dilip Giramkar, Makarand Kedari, Dinesh Hole, Sagar Gavhane, Komal Shendkar, Sachin Mathurawala, Tatya Shendkar, Maruti Bhadrawati, Nilesh Ashok Kamble, Dilip Jambhulkar, Prasad Chowghule, Manoj Chordia, Nisha Kota, Atul Wanawadikar and Dinesh Samal were present.

Mohol said, “The highest number of CNG buses in the country are in the PMPML fleet. The PMPML received 150 e-buses under the FAME 2 scheme in the past five years. PMPML is supposed to receive 650 e-buses, out of which 473 buses are in use, the remaining buses will join the fleet soon.

“As many as six e-bus charging depots have been set up across the city. The tender process for 500 new CNG buses is underway. These buses save 70 pc running charges and reduce 50 pc emissions. Focus will be on the feeder service to Pune Metro.”
