Single Day Hike of More Than 25 Rs. in Petrol Prices in Pakistan, Hike of 21 Rs. in Diesel Prices

Islamabad : In Pakistan, the government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel. Since Friday, the price of petrol in Pakistan increased by Rs 25.58 to Rs 100.10 per liter as against Rs 74.54 earlier. This information has been provided by the Financial Division of Pakistan.

At the same time, the price of high speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs 21.31 to Rs 101.46 per liter. This price was earlier Rs 80.15 per liter. Apart from this, the price of kerosene has been increased by Rs. 23.50 to Rs. 59.06 from the earlier price of Rs. 35.56 per liter.

Not only this, the current price of light diesel oil (LDO) has been increased by Rs 17.84 to Rs 55.98 per liter. Earlier the price of LDO was Rs 38.14 per liter. These new prices have been implemented in Pakistan from Friday (26 June).

It is reported that the government of Pakistan increased the prices of all petroleum products by about Rs 26 to share the impact of international prices with consumers.

The statement issued by the Finance Department said that the decision to revise the prices of petroleum products has been taken “in view of the trend of rising oil prices in the global market”.

The hike in fuel prices has been announced unexpectedly as the revised prices were scheduled to remain in force till June 30, but the government had already introduced the new prices earlier.
