Sangli : Policenama online | Minister of State for Agriculture Vishwajeet Kadam’s convoy met with an accident on Tuesday. State Minister Vishwajeet Kadam is safe in the accident. Vishwajeet Kadam’s convoy was going to inspect the village of Nagthane Ankalkhop in Palus taluka of Sangli. However, two policemen were seriously injured in the accident. He was rushed to Government Hospital, Sangli.
Rains have lashed the entire state. This has led to floods in Sangli and Kolhapur. Against this backdrop, Minister of State for Agriculture Vishwajeet Kadam was inspecting the flood situation in his constituency at Ankalkhop in Sangli. Meanwhile, an unidentified man from the village came across their convoy. One of the vehicles in the convoy lost control to rescue him. The car went off the road and crashed. The accident was so severe that the vehicle went straight to the side of the road and overturned. Vishwajeet Kadam is safe but the driver and two police personnel are injured.
