2.66 Crore People are Getting ‘Gas Cylinders’ for ‘Free’, If You Want, Do ‘this’

New Delhi : Lockdown has been implemented in the country. Meanwhile, to provide relief to the poor, the central government is supplying free LPG cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme. According to the government, only those people who have registered under this scheme will get the benefit of this scheme. For this, the government has released a relief package of Rs 1.7 lakh crore. This will definitely help every poor person. Under the Ujjwala scheme, 3 LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg are being given under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.

In 1 month, only one cylinder will be given for free. Those who have 5 kg cylinders will be given a total of 8 cylinders in 3 months. To take advantage of this scheme, the Modi government has sent money to the customers’ account. On Thursday, the Finance Ministry informed that under the Ujjwala scheme, 2.6 crore needy families have been given LPG cylinders for free. At the same time, 3.05 crore cylinders have been booked. The Finance Ministry on Thursday gave information about the announcement made under PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, what progress has been made under this scheme so far. It said that a total of 2 crore 66 lakh free LPG cylinders have been provided under the Ujjwala scheme till 22 April 2020.

To avail LPG cylinder, it is mandatory for the customer to register his mobile number. This means that the beneficiaries whose mobile number is registered with the gas agency, only they will get the benefit of this scheme. If the mobile number is not registered, get it done immediately. Recently the government has reduced the price of LPG gas cylinder. The price of a 14.2 kg cylinder has come down by about Rs 61.50.
