New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned 70 today. It is said about him that he sets a goal before doing any work. People of the country have high expectations from him. He has drawn a line to change the picture of the country financially. When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country for the first time in 2014, he gave the slogan of ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and to connect every family to the banking system. Now PM Modi has set some goals to create a new India, which today seems just dreams, but if these dreams come true then the picture of the country will completely change.

Self-Sufficient India
The whole world is financially plagued by the Corona crisis. This epidemic has also broken the back of the Indian economy. But in order to turn this disaster into an opportunity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on 12 May 2020, giving the slogan of Self-reliant India campaign. PM Modi says that after the Corona crisis, the country will emerge as a new India, which will be self-sufficient. An economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees will be used to carry out this campaign. Which is about 10 percent of the country’s GDP. PM Modi’s effort is that in the next few years, India will become dependent on itself for most of the things.

5 Trillion Economy
PM Modi has set a target of making the Indian economy $ 5 trillion by the year 2024-25. The Corona crisis may have made this goal difficult. But still PM Modi is trying to speed up the economy. There are many challenges along the way to reach the economy to this goal. During a discussion on the 5 trillion dollar economy, PM Modi said that this idea has not come suddenly in his mind. It is based on a deep understanding of the country’s strength. This is an oath associated with the dreams of 130 crore Indians.

Double the Income Of Farmers
Due to the Corona crisis, the economy has been disturbed. But the government has relief due to better agricultural production. In the last few years, many steps have been taken for the betterment of agriculture. PM Modi himself has set a target of doubling the income of farmers by 2022. Now the entire focus of the government is to implement the schemes to increase the income of farmers. While the UPA government of Congress gave only Rs 1 lakh 21 thousand 82 crore during 2009 to 2014, Prime Minister Modi gave Rs 2 lakh 11 thousand 694 crore between 2014-18, in four years only.

Har Ghar Jal Yojana
People in the country still have to walk many kilometers to get drinking water. In view of this, the central government has resolved to provide pure drinking water to every household. The government announced the Jal Jeevan Mission or Har Ghar Jal Yojana in the budget of 2020-21. Its purpose is to deliver clean water through pipelines to all the households in the country. Time has been fixed till 2024 to meet this goal. The government will spend 3.5 lakh crore rupees on this scheme. People will get clean drinking water at home. Right now only 50 per cent of the households have access to clean water through pipelines.

Home For All By 2022
Modi government has promised home to all the people by the year 2022. PM Awas Yojana (Rural) was launched in November 2016. Under the PM Awas Yojana (Rural), every beneficiary gets a total grant of Rs 1.20 lakh. There is a shared ratio of 60:40 between the center and the state. The government has set a target of constructing 2.95 crore houses by the year 2022. People are getting benefit of PM Awas Yojana in rural areas.
