Shimla, Dec 30 (UNI)- Himachal Pradesh High Court on Friday adjourned the hearing in the case related to the state government taking over the Hotel Wildflower Hall from East India Hotels (EIH) Limited of the Oberoi group here till January 5.

The Single bench of Justice Satyan Vaidya adjourned the hearing till January 5, 2024 as state has filed an execution petition before the High Court to take back the possession of Rs 500 Crore Hotel Wildflower hall and around 120 big land attached with the property.

On November 17, the state Government issued notice to EIH to vacate the property but on the next day the EIH got the stay from the High Court which was continued.

The State Government has submitted before the HC that it wants the possession of the property after an arbitration award was passed in favour of State Government in 2022 after twenty years of legal battle on the issue.

Earlier to this, EIH Limited submitted a draft of arbitration award in the court and urged it that state should order to continue the possession of property with it and extend the arrangement further.
