Pune: Controversy erupted after mark sheets printed with ‘Promoted Covid-19’ and was issued to 240 students of Shri Shivaji college of Horticulture in Amravati on Monday.
Meanwhile, State agriculture minister Dadaji Bhuse tweeted that action would be taken against the college for such an act, and no such order was given to the universities, also he ordered an inquiry into the matter.
कृषि विद्यापीठातील विद्यार्थ्यांच्या गुणपत्रिकेवर कोविड १९ असा उल्लेख केलेल्या प्रकरणाची गंभीर दखल घेतली आहे. यासंदर्भात राज्य शासनाचे कुठलेही आदेश नसताना तसा उल्लेख करण्याचा आदेश देणाऱ्यांची चौकशी करून कारवाई करण्याचे निर्देश महाराष्ट्र कृषि शिक्षण व संशोधन परिषदेला दिले आहेत.

He tweeted, “We have taken serious cognizance of putting the Covid-19 remark on the mark sheets of students of the agriculture university. The state government has not issued any orders in this regard.
However, an inquiry will be initiated on those who ordered for this remark on the mark sheet and appropriate action would be taken by the Maharashtra Agriculture Education and Research Council,”
