Pune Crime | 33 held, valuables worth Rs 11 lakh seized in a gambling den raid at Vadgaon Maval
Vadgaon Maval : Policenama online – Pune Crime | In an action at an illegal gambling den, 33 people were arrested and valuables worth over Rs 11.59 lakh were confiscated on Monday night. The gambling den was located near Giri Poultry, Moraya Colony, Vadgaon Maval.
Two accused are absconding. According to PI Vilas Bhosale, they received a tip-off that some people were involved in illegal gambling on the first floor of a building owned by Santosh Ramdas Dhore near Giri Poultry, Moraya Colony in Vadgaon Maval. The police laid a trap and arrested 33 people. They also seized two four-wheelers, three two-wheelers, 32 cellphones, Rs 25,000 cash, totally worth Rs 11,59,950. Two accused identified as Sagar Pandurang Waykar and Santosh Ramdas Dhore are absconding.
The action was taken under the guidance of Superintendence of Police (Pune Rural) Dr Abhinav Deshmukh, Addl SP Mitesh Ghatte and Lonavala SDPO Rajendra Patil. PI Vilas Bhosale, PSI Santosh Chame, police personnel Sunil Jawale, Ajit Nanavare, Ashish Kale, Amol Taware, Manoj Kadam, Amol Nanavare, Srishail Kantoli, Shailesh Kohpade, Sanjay Supe, Ganpat Hole, Ajay Shinde, Aniket Borhade and Shivaji Ghute.
PSI Santosh Chame is investigating further.
