Pune Cyber police arrest one in the health department question paper leak case

Pune : Policenama online – One person was arrested from Aurangabad on Wednesday by the Pune cyber police in the state health department’s recruitment exam question paper leak case. The department had held the examination on October 31 for the D category posts. Its question paper was posted on social media prior to the examination.

The Pune cyber police are investigating the case. The arrested has been identified as Vijay Pralhad Murhade (29), a resident of Nandi village in Jalna district. Health Department Chief Administrative Office Smita Korgaonkar had lodged a complaint in this regard with the cyber police.

The accused was produced in the court, which remanded him in police custody for seven days. Murhade’s name appears in the question paper circulated on social media. The police analysed the content of the message used in circulating the question paper and arrested Murhade. The state government and the candidates appearing for the exam have been cheated in this matter.

According to Cyber Police Station Senior PI DS Hake, the police did a technical analysis of the social media messages after lodging of the complaint. Murhade’s involvement was found in the paper leak. The police traced him to Aurangabad. He named some persons involved in the case after his arrest. A thorough investigation is being made and a ring of accused is being searched. It is also being investigated as to who handed over the question paper to the accused; who all are involved in this and the persons to whom the accused sent the question paper.
