Pune: A startling incident of molesting a married woman who was going home after leaving her daughter for a coaching class transpired near Durgamata Chowk in the Kharadi area. In this regard, Chandannagar police have registered a case against Deepak Vishnu Wakchaure, a 44-year-old and a resident of Sainagari, Chandannagar, following a complaint filed by a 34-year-old woman.
As per the complaint, the plaintiff woman was going back to her house after dropping her minor daughter to a private coaching class on the morning of March 16. At that time, the accused allegedly chased the woman and tried to befriend her. After that, he constantly started chasing the plaintiff and teasing her by unnecessarily honking the horn.
On March 19, at around 10 a.m., the accused again chased the plaintiff. At this time, he handed over a note to the plaintiff by writing his mobile number in it. The complainant mentioned that the accused asked her to call the given number and attempted to molest her. Further investigation in this regard is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Bhagwan Kamble.
