Pune: Loni Kalbhor Police Makes Swift Arrest of 20-Year-Old Young Man in Harassment and Life Threatening Case

Pune: Loni Kalbhor Police apprehended a 20-year-old young man for allegedly chasing a 17-year-old girl and harassing her by constantly asking her for marriage.

On Wednesday, March 20, a 40-year-old mother of the minor girl living in Uruli Devachi lodged a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station against the accused. Accordingly, Loni Kalbhor police booked Tejas Thorat, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Devachi Uruli, under IPC 354(d) and the POCSO Act and immediately arrested him.

As per the complaint filed by the plaintiff, the accused, Thorat, has been constantly chasing her minor daughter since a few days ago. She mentioned that the accused has been constantly harassing her daughter by asking her for marriage.

When the mother of the minor girl learned about it, she counselled the accused against doing this. However, the accused shockingly abused the plaintiff and threatened to kill her if she tried to come in his way. The accused said, “I love your daughter, and I am going to marry her. If you marry her to someone else, I will not leave anyone of you alive.”

After that, Loni Kalbhor promptly took the accused into custody following the complaint filed by the complainant. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Shivshant Khose.
