Pune Police News | Three-day workshop held for children of police, who are on 24-hour duty, through vision of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr and Joint CP Sandeep Karnik
PUNE: Pune Police News | A novel initiative has been started for the children of police officials and staff who are on duty for 24 hours, through the vision of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr and Joint CP Sandeep Karnik.
A three-day workshop had been organised for the children of policemen.
Seventy five children of policemen took part in the workshop. On the first day, activists of Hope For The Children Foundation showed how all-round development can be carried out through demonstration. The children were taught how to develop various skills.
On the second day of the workshop, educationist and counsellor Anil Gunjal gave a lecture. They were informed about various career options and were taught how to learn in a positive manner. An aptitude test of students studying from std VIII to X was held by Dnyan Prabodhini Prashala. The test was conducted for the children of policemen at concessional rates.
On the third day, child psychologist Dr Bhooshan Shukla delivered a lecture on emotional intelligence. He guided students about how to handle one’s feelings and become successful. The workshop ended after a meditation session organised by the Art of Living.
Seventy five children took part in the three-day workshop. The officials of the Pune police commissionerate, staff, Home For Children Foundation, Dnyan Prabodhini Prashala, Art of Living and other speakers made a useful contribution for the conduct of the workshop. Pinnacle Industries, Shivaji Nagar, Pune also helped in organising the workshop.
