Pune: Tragic Suicide in Mangalwar Peth! Young Man Takes His Own Life Amid Harassment and Threats by Recidivist Accused

Pune : A disturbing incident took place in Mangalwar Peth on April 30, in which a young man committed suicide by hanging himself in his own house due to constant harassment and death threats by on-record criminals. In this regard, Faraskhana police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against two accused, Romeo Kamble and Sanket Kamble. According to the police information, both are residents of Bhimnagar, Mangalwar Peth, Pune, and amongst them, Sanket Kamble is an on-record criminal.

The deceased individual has been identified as Siddharth Vijay Phadtare, and he was a resident of Mangalwar Peth, Pune. In this regard, Siddharth’s mother, Anita Vijay Phadtare (age 40), has filed a complaint at Faraskhana police station.

The plaintiff complained that the accused, Sanket Kamble, has been repeatedly threatening to kill the complainant’s son, Siddharth, for the past one year. On April 28, another suspect named Romeo Kamble made threats to slit Siddharth’s throat. On April 30, the accused approached the plaintiff’s son near Nagzari Nala and assaulted him severely with their hands. They also threatened to kill Siddharth.

Tired of constant harassment by the accused, the plaintiff’s son committed suicide by hanging himself in the house. When the plaintiff registered a complaint against two accused, police booked them under IPC 306, 323, 504, 506, and 34 and initiated further investigation into it.

During the police investigation, police found that the accused, Sanket Kamble, is a criminal on the police record, and a case of assault was registered against him earlier at the Faraskhana police station.
