Pune: Two Hotel Owners Wreak Havoc at Lonikand Police Station by Attempting Self-Immolation (Video)

Pune: A disturbing incident of an attempt to burn oneself in front of the Lonikand Police Station after being enraged by police action took place in Wagholi on Monday, April 1. In this regard, the police took both accused into custody. This incident took place on Monday, April 1, at around 5.30 p.m. in the evening in front of the Lonikand Police Station.

In this regard, police constable Amol Abasaheb Gaikwad has filed a police complaint at Lonikand police station. Accordingly, police registered a case under IPC 506, 309 against Satyawan Haushiram Gawde (age 34) and Ram Ashokrao Gajmal (age 22), both residing in Ubalenagar, Wagholi.

According to the information, both the accused have a hotel named ‘New Pyasa’ in Ubalenagar, Wagholi. By violating the rules, both accused kept the hotel open until late at night. Therefore, Police Inspector (Crime) Seema Dhakne took action and registered a case against Ram Gajmal, a worker in the hotel.

Enraged by it, both accused went in front of the main gate of the Lonikand police station on Monday at around 5.30 p.m. and attempted to commit suicide by pouring inflammable substances on their bodies.

Immediately, Senior Police Inspector Kailas Kare, Police Inspector Crime Seema Dhakne, Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse, and Assistant Police Inspector Chetan Thorbole rushed to the spot and prevented the accused from committing a mishap. After that, both accused were taken into custody, and further investigation in this regard is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse of Lonikand Police Station.
