Sahakarnagar police raid shops selling duplicate auto parts of Bosch, book trader, confiscate parts worth Rs 82,000
Pune : Policenama online – The Sahakarnagar police raided two shops in Sahakarnagar area and seized duplicate auto parts, which were being sold as that of Bosch company. A trader was booked in this regard.
The police registered an offence against the shopkeeper and confiscated auto parts amounting to Rs 82,000. The accused has been identified as Anup Shirish Patni, a resident of Bibvewadi.
Revannath Kekan (40), a resident of Hadapsar, lodged a complaint in this regard. According to the police, Kekan is the senior investigating officer of Protect IP India company, which has the copyrights of Bosch company.
A tip-off was received that some shops in Sahakarnagar were selling fake auto parts in the name of Bosch company. Kekan brought this to DCP Sagar Patil’s notice, who directed the Sahakarnagar police to act against the shopkeeper.
The police raided Shree Auto Trading at Nagina Apartments in Padmavati, where the police found 46 duplicate glow plugs worth Rs 46,000. They also raided Maharashtra Autoline at Pushpa Tower, where 36 units were confiscated.
The Sahakarnagar police seized the duplicate auto parts and booked Patni.
