Telangana Assembly Poll: Cong releases 37-point manifesto, includes six guarantees

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge along with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders released the 37-point party’s Manifesto named ‘Abhaya Hastham’ at Gandhi bhavan here on Friday.

The Congress prepared the manifesto to reflect the aspirations of the people of Telangana, who have been suffering under the TRS / BRS government for the last nine and a half years.

It released the 42-page manifesto for the Assembly poll on November 30, by including six guarantees and job calendar which will ensure ‘realising the dream of Bangaru Telangana’.

In the very first year, after the Congress party formed the government by winning in the hustings, 2 lakh jobs will be filled by the Public Service Commission and through a special departmental recruitment mission, Applicants are exempted from paying any application fee, the manifesto stated.

Mallikarjun Kharge said his party is determined to provide social justice, economic empowerment and unbridled progress to the people of the state.

TPCC Manifesto Committee Chairman D Sridhar Babu said that “We are dedicating this manifesto to the people of Telangana which is prepared after consulting different communities, civil societies and individuals, analyzing their problems.

Drawing inspiration from the hopes and aspirations of Telangana’s diverse communities, we present this manifesto for a vibrant, sustainable, and prosperous Telangana, he said.

We assure the entire Telangana people that once the Congress party comes to power, we will surely implement every promise in this manifesto and lead the future of people of the state on a golden path, Babu said.

On behalf of TPCC, our sincere thanks to all communities and individuals who have contributed to the preparation of this manifesto, he said.

Our special appreciation to Prof. Aldas Janniah , Dr. Lingam Yadav, Chamala Srinivas, Tirumalagiri Surender, and Allam Bhaskar for their active role in formulation of this manifesto, he added.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to release the BJP’s manifesto tomorrow. He will be in the state to attend election rallies in Gadwal, Nalgonda and Warnagal.

Telangana will go to poll on November 30 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.
