Unnao Case: CJI seek registry reply over delaying letter
NEW DELHI : Policenama Online – Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has asked the Supreme Court registry to give him a report on why the letter written by the Unnao rape victim’s mother reached the court and not him.
A few weeks before the accident that killed two relatives of the unnao rape victims and critically injured her, her family had written a letter to the CJI saying there was a threat and danger to their lives allegedly by the accused persons in the case.
Supreme Court asks the Secretary General to explain why the letter (dated July 12) sent by the Unnao rape victim was not placed before the court. Medical report of the victim was also sought. Chief Justice of India (CJI) was to hear the Unnao case tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/gj3k5oTglK

As per the report, the letter sent on July 12 had not reached the office of CJI Gogoi until Tuesday afternoon.
The report also suggested that the SC registry had delayed issuing notice in the petition by the rape survivor’s mother seeking transfer of trail of the case from Unnao to Delhi.
Delays in the report seek CJI for urgent hearing tomorrow.
