UP: More than 2 dozen injured as bus collides with tractor-trolley


Shahjahanpur (UP), Dec 26 (UNI)- More than two dozen passengers were injured when a roadways bus collided with a stationary tractor-trolley in the Powayan area of the district here in Uttar Pradesh, a transport department official said.

Assistant Regional Manager (ARM), RS Pandey, said the incident took place when the bus from Shahjahanpur depot collided with the tractor-trolley while it was on its way to Gauriphanta on the Nepal border late on Monday night.

“More than two dozen passengers, including Nepalese citizens and a SSB jawan, were injured in the incident,” he said.

He said with the help of the local residents, the injured were admitted to a medical college. “Condition of one injured person is stated to be serious. The bus driver escaped after the incident,” he said.
