A Video Of Lord Ganesha’s Image Created On Half-Acre Farmland Has Been Going Viral On Social Media

Solapur: A video on Twitter has been going viral, ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi. In Maharashtra’s Solapur, a bunch of youngsters in the district’s Bale village created Lord Ganesha’s image on half-acre farmland.

It was posted on the microblogging site by a user named ‘Baba Albert Einsteindev’. In it, the first shot is of seven teenagers, along with a little boy. Then, the camera on the drone pans above and it reveals the image of Ganpati Bappa. An aerial shot is taken later showing the entire creation. Take a look. The post is captioned as, “The youth of Bale village in Solapur (MH) started embodying the image of Ganpati Bappa in a half-acre farm a month ago.

Normally, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great pomp and show, especially in Maharashtra. Massive roadshows, visarjan, etc. take place. However, with the looming pandemic, there will be muted celebrations. Large gatherings are being discouraged and people are asked to take the Bappa home and carry on the festivities within the four walls.

However, this has not dampened any spirits. People have come up with creative ways to commemorate this day. Many created the idols with eco-friendly materials to promote a healthy environment and also taking a step towards becoming self-reliant. The beautiful artwork in Solapur is another addition to this and the internet is going absolutely ga-ga over it. Till now, it has garnered 1,76,100 views with 5100 retweets and 16,400 likes.

Netizens are loving this as well.Ganesh Chaturthi is set to be celebrated in the entire country on August 22.
