Amarnath Yatra to be Held From July 21 to August 3, COVID-19 Test Compulsory For Devotees

New Delhi : Big update has come out about the Amarnath Yatra 2020. According to sources, the Amarnath Yatra 2020 will begin from July 21 to August 3. According to information received from sources, this time only those devotees who will undergo the Corona Test will be allowed for the Amarnath Yatra 2020. This time only Amarnath Yatra will last only two weeks. Only one route has been set for the Amarnath Yatra 2020. Amarnath Yatra 2020 will only pass through North Kashmir Baltal route. Also, for those who are unable to travel, live coverage of Baba Barfani will be provided. Officials said, “No pilgrims will be allowed to travel through Pahalgam route this year.”

This time Amarnath Yatra 2020 will be of only 15 days duration. This has been said by the officials of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). SASB manages the travel to the cave temple located 3,880 meters above sea level in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The ‘Pratham Puja’ for the yatra was held on Friday (05 June). This time the Amarnath Yatra period has been cut due to global coronavirus epidemic. According to the information, the work has been started by removing snow from the route from Baltal to the holy cave.

Authorities have also decided that the ‘Aarti’ to be performed in the cave temple in the morning and evening during 15 days will be broadcast live to devotees across the country. Officials said that due to unavailability of local laborers and difficulties in maintaining track from base camp to cave temple, the helicopter will be used to reach the cave from Baltal Base Camp in Ganderbal district for the Yatra 2020.

The Yatra 2020 will only pass through North Kashmir Baltal route. Officials said, “No pilgrims will be allowed to travel through Pahalgam route this year.” The Yatra 2020 will conclude on 3 August on Shravan Purnima, the day of the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

These things have to be kept in mind –

# All people traveling must have a COVID negative certificate.# Except sadhus, only those below 55 years of age will be allowed in other pilgrims.

# The SASB official said, “The pilgrims will be cross-checked for the virus before they are allowed to start the journey into Jammu and Kashmir.”

# All pilgrims except sadhus have to register online for the yatra.

# Due to shortage of local laborers and difficulties in track from base camp to cave temple, helicopter will be used.

# The yatra will use helicopters to reach the cave from Baltal Base Camp in Ganderbal district.

# Amarnath Yatra 2020 will only pass through North Kashmir Baltal route.

# No pilgrim will be allowed to travel through Pahalgam route this year.
