Andre Russell can score double century in IPL if plays on 3rd order: David Hussey

Dubai: After long wait by the Indian fans, the BCCI has released the full schedule of the 13th season of the world’s richest franchise league IPL on Sunday. Since the release of the schedule, where all the teams have started to strengthen their preparation.  Meanwhile, according to the schedule released, the Kolkata Knight Riders team, which has won the IPL title 2 times, will become the team with the most delayed start in the league.

 

Kolkata Knight Riders will play their first match against Mumbai Indians on September 23 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After the IPL schedule was released, KKR’s team mentor David Hussey talked about the team’s campaign this year and also spoke about the player who can score a double century in the IPL,  though for this player has to bat at number three.

 

The Kolkata Knight Riders has appointed a new coaching staff this year under the leadership of the team’s new coach Brandon McCallu. It has been claimed that explosive allrounder Andre Russell of West Indies to bat at number three in the 13th season of IPL this year. Team mentor David Hussey said, ‘the team was considering a number of options including sending Russell to bat at third order.

 

It is worth mentioning that Andre Russell was selected as the ‘Most Valuable Player’ in the IPL held last year, although the Kolkata team faced a lot of criticism over his use.

 

Hussey said in a press conference here, “If it benefits the team and helps us win the cricket match, then why not?” If Andre Russell comes in to bat at third order and face 60 balls, he could actually score a double century. Anything is possible with Russell”.
