New Delhi: Now the government has curbed the import of power tillers and its components from China. They are largely imported from China. Power tiller is an agricultural machine, which is used to prepare the land for farming.
DGFT vide Notification No. 19/2015-20 dated 15.07.2020 has amended Import Policy and Policy Conditions of Power tillers and its components. They are now under the ‘Restricted’ category. The details are available in following link – https://t.co/cIj6em1Ys4

To shock China on the economic front, the Modi government is continuously trying to curb the import of Chinese products.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has said in a notification that, ‘The import policy of power tiller and its parts has been revised from free to prohibited.
A product in the ‘prohibited’ or forbidden category means that the importer must obtain a license from the DGFT to import them.
