Ayodhya Ram Mandir : Statues and Charan Paduka found during excavation

Ayodhya : The temple of Lord Rama is being built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, following the order of the Supreme Court. During the excavation of the foundation up to 40 feet depth for the construction of the temple of Ram Lala, the remains of ancient stone blocks including a charan paduka and the remains of some fragmented idols have been found. These remnants of ancient temples have been kept safe by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Shrine Area Trust. These remains of archaeological importance will be scientifically examined in an archaeological way.

Earlier, during the levelling work of the birthplace complex, many ancient relics have been found. Earlier, ancient carved rocks have also been found. Some sculptures have also been found. The remains of stones belonging to the ancient temple have been found.

During excavation from Sita Rasoi, a huge stone silbatta used in the kitchen has also been found. Chakala belan has also been received. Apart from these, during the excavation to Manas Bhawan, very ancient charan padukas of the Lord Shri Ram have also been found. Trust sources said that all these remains have been preserved in the museum of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

After the construction of Ram temple, a museum will be built in the temple premises itself and these ancient heritage will be kept for the devotees to see. Devotees will be able to see these ancient religious relics after the darshan of Ramlala. These ancient items are in broken condition. At present, the excavation work has been completed.
