New Delhi : Country’s general budget is being presented today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is reading the budget speech in Lok Sabha. Everyone is eyeing this budget to revive the stagnant economy in the Corona crisis. Tax or employment, the country has high expectations from this budget on every front.
Agricultural cess imposed on petrol and diesel
Agricultural cess has been imposed on petrol and diesel by the central government. A cess of four rupees has been imposed on diesel and two and a half rupees on petrol. However, it is being said that these cess will have to be paid by the companies and it will not have any effect on the common people.
No change in tax slab
Taxpayers have not received anything special in the budget this time too. No change has been made in the tax slab by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In such a situation, whatever expectations the middle class had before the budget, they have remained unfulfilled.
