Celebs express grief over train mishap in Odisha; call it ‘heartbreaking’

New Delhi, June 3 (UNI) Film fraternity and sportspersons on Saturday expressed their anguish over the loss of lives in one of the deadliest train accidents in India at Bahanaga in Odisha’s Balasore district.

Megastar Salman Khan wrote in a tweet, “Really saddened to hear abt the accident,May God rest the souls of the deceased in peace,Protect n give strength to the families n the injured from this unfortunate accident.”

Akshay Kumar said, “Heartbreaking to see the visuals from the tragic train accident in Odisha. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. My thoughts and condolences to the families of the affected during this difficult time. Om Shanti”.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli wrote, “Saddened to hear about the tragic train accident in Odisha. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost their loved ones and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.”

Pan-Indian star Allu Arjun said, “Shocked & heart broken by the tragic train accident in Odisha. My condolences to the families who have suffered the loss of their loved ones. Sending heartfelt prayers for the recovery of those who were injured.”

South superstar Jr NTR said, “Heartfelt condolences to the families and their loved ones affected by the tragic train accident. My thoughts are with each and every person affected by this devastating incident. May strength and support surround them during this difficult time.”

T-Series tweeted, “We’re saddened to hear about the tragic train accident in Odisha. Our heartfelt condolences to the families. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.”

Singer Armaan Malik said, “So sad to hear about the unfortunate Train accident that took place in Odisha. We lost 300 precious lives and many more are badly injured… Prayers and healing to all the families of the affected”.

The death toll has shot up to 244 in the accident, which involved three trains— Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel express, Yeshawantpur -Howrah express and a goods train.
