Wuhan : China has rejected the US’ entry demand in Wuhan to investigate the causes of the Corona virus. China on Monday rejected US President Donald Trump’s demand to allow an American team to investigate the origin of the coronavirus in Wuhan saying China is a ‘Victim’ of COVID-19 and not a ‘Criminal’.

Describing the coronavirus as a plague, Donald Trump said on Sunday that he was not happy with China, where the coronavirus epidemic erupted in central China’s Hubei province capital Wuhan in December last year.

Speaking to reporters, Donald Trump said, “We talked to them (China) a long time ago that we want to investigate inside Wuhan. We want to see what is happening, and I can tell you that we have not been allowed for this at all. The United States has begun an investigation into whether the deadly virus “came out” from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Reacting to Donald Trump’s comments, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said, “The virus is the common enemy of all mankind.” In a media briefing in Beijing, Geng Shuang said, ‘This virus may have born in any part of the world. Like other countries, China is also suffering from this virus. China is the victim and not the culprit.”

In the US, the death toll due to Coronavirus has increased to 41 thousand, while so far 7 lakh 64 thousand people have been infected by this deadly virus. This number is the highest in the world. Donald Trump and other US leaders are pressuring them to take action against China for not providing sufficient information related to the coronavirus. The first case of coronavirus was reported in Wuhan, China.

In China, the death toll due to coronavirus reached 4,632 on Sunday. Of these, 50 percent are from Wuhan. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said, “Since the epidemic came out, China has been working in a responsible way to deal with it and prevent it.” China has acted most strongly in the world against coronavirus infection.

Geng Shuang said China’s efforts to curb the virus has provided a “valuable experience for the international community” so that they could avoid it spreading to their countries.
