Mumbai :Policenama online Christmas 2021 | In the wake of the growing Coronavirus variant, Omicron, the State has issued guidelines for the celebration of the Christmas festival. The State has also appealed to the citizens to celebrate the festival on a low key.
The State has imposed new regulations in order to prevent the spread of the deadly pandemic. On the background of the COVID-19 pandemic, last year, almost all the festivals throughout the year were celebrated, modestly.
The rules set by the State for celebrating Christmas this year are as follows …
The Christian community should be careful while gathering for the Mass in the local church. The prayer hall must be filled with half of its total capacity.
The worshipers must adhere to rules like keeping a safe physical distance and covering face with a mask for attending the prayers; while it is mandatory for the church authority to regularly sanitize the church premises.
There must be fewer choir singers in the Christmas prayers. All the singers must use separate microphones.
No shops and stalls are allowed in the church premises and also outside the church.
No religious, cultural events and processions are to be held to prevent the gathering of the crowd at one place. No fireworks are allowed.
Citizens are appealed to follow the rules laid down for Christmas and support the administration to fight against corona.
With Christmas (2021) round the corner, its variant omicron has recently made an entry. Looking at this, the people are advised not to gather in large numbers. Few states are already geared up by imposing night curfew. Maharashtra has also given instructions to take precautionary measures to avoid getting contracted by omicron.
