Court asks news channels to refrain from running maligning campaign against Bollywood

New Delhi : In 1997, Princess Diana died in an accident following a media chase. The Delhi High Court has warned the media that such a thing should not happen in our country. Court has also asked news channels to refrain from maligning Bollywood.
After the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, there were some allegations against other personalities of Bollywood. There was a lot of discussion about it. Bollywood veterans had approached the Delhi High Court alleging that some news outlets had used offensive language in covering the incident. They include Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and others.
Justice Rajiv Shakadhar of the Delhi High Court has said that the media should not be a parallel court. The job of the media is to report. However, at present there is less news and more opinions are being given in such a manner. The Delhi court also slammed the news channels for drawing conclusions about something and then reporting it.
