Rajasthan : Denied election ticket, Angry BJP worker ties leader to tree

Nagaur : Activists often become aggressive if they do not get election tickets. However, in Nagaur, Rajasthan, a BJP activist, angry over not getting a ticket for the Panchayat Raj elections, tied a local leader to a tree with a rope. After a long debate, the leader was released. However, the video went viral on social media as the locals filmed the incident on their mobile phones.
According to the information received, the incident took place in Bhaurunda Mandal area of Nagaur in Rajasthan. Here, disgruntled BJP workers tied Mandal president Rajendra Vaishnav and his associates to a tree. He also slammed him for his decision. He told the leaders that tickets for the Panchayat Raj elections were not distributed properly. Also the videos and photos of the incident went viral on social media.
Eventually some intervened and tried to calm the situation between activists and leaders. Rajendra Vaishnav and his associates were later released. But angry activists made the photos and videos of the incident viral on social media.
Panchayat Raj Institutions are being elected in Rajasthan. The election will be held in four phases in November and December. Yesterday was the last date for filing nominations for this election. In the meantime, there is huge resentment among BJP and Congress workers in many places due to factionalism in the elections. Meanwhile, the BJP had announced the list of candidates two days ago. Congress did not announce its list of candidates.
